Marcus Harris (70) and Aaron Finch (50) notched up their respective half-centuries as Australia posted 145/3 at Tea on Day 1 of the second Test against India in Perth. Finch, was the first wicket to fall in the second session soon after he scores his second Test 50 and the first at home. Later Usman Khawaja (5) and Harris fell in quick succession as the Indian bowlers bounced back with three wickets in the second session. Team India's lone spinner Hanuma Vihari along with pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav scalped a wicket each. Australia had resumed the second session on 66 for no loss. (LIVE SCORECARD)

14:41 IST: New ball has been taken, Mohammed Shami to bowl the first over with it. Travis Head on strike. Minimum 9 overs left in the day! 
14:40 IST: Australia reach the 250 runs mark in 81 overs, with five wickets in hand. 
14:39 IST: Boundary! Lose delivery from Hanuma Vihari, a full toss and Tim Paine plays it through the covers to pick four runs. 
14:29 IST: Third Test half-century for Travis Head, his second of the series. Reaches the milestone in 70 deliveries, five boundaries in that unbeaten knock. 
14:24 IST: WICKET! Hanuma Vihari gets rid of Shaun Marsh (45). An important partnership broken by Vihari here. Australia 232 for five in 77 overs. 
14:21 IST: Boundary to end the over! Shaun Marsh smashes the delivery from Murali Vijay down the ground to find the fence. Australia 227 for four in 76 overs.

13:53 IST: 200 runs up for Australia, in the 69th over. The hosts still have six wickets in hand, they will be eyeing a big total from here on.   
13:49 IST: Boundary! Shaun Marsh swings his bat off a length delivery from Shami and the ball runs away to the fence towards third man. He is not letting the poor deliveries away. 
13:46 IST: Boundary! Shaun Marsh goes down the ground to pick up four runs off Hanuma Vihari, he moves on to 29 runs with that shot. Mohammed Shami to continue from the other end.

12:14 IST: WICKET! Hanuma Vihari dismisses the big fish Marcus Harris, Australia 134/3 in 48.2 overs. The extra-bounce did the trick here, Harris failed to pick it up and hands an easy catch to Ajinkya Rahane at first slip. 
12:03 IST: WICKET! Umesh Yadav gets rid of Usman Khawaja, Australia 130 for two in 46 overs. Khawaja tried to cut the ball over the top but got a thick edge and the ball carried easily into the hands of Rishabh Pant behind the stumps. Shaun Marsh is the new batsman in! 
11:57 IST: Dropped! KL Rahul drops a tough chance at second slip after Marcus Harris cuts the ball wide. Rahul made an effort with his both hands but failed to gather the ball. Harris will pick four runs from the missed opportunity.

11:10 IST: Back to back boundaries from Aaron Finch, takes him to 49 runs. Both coming in the first over from Hanuma Vihari. No respite for the Indians, they have tried it all now. 
11:05 IST: A century stand between Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris! In 202 balls, both the batsmen have complimented each other well to push India on the backfoot. Marcus Harris, playing at his home ground has been the aggressor while Aaron Finch has show a lot of character in his innings.

10:50 IST: Maiden Test half-century for Marcus Harris -- the local boy! He has been in sublime form, picking up the lengths from the Indian bowlers early, hitting it into the gaps. A well deserved 50 from 90 deliveries, while playing only his second Test.

08:44 IST: Huge lbw appeal from Mohammed Shami! Umpire calls it not out, Shami reckons he has got rid of Aaron Finch. India go for a review. Ball-tracking shows the ball-pitching in line, impact in line and the ball just missing the stumps. Nigel Llong's decision stands, India lose a review.
08:40 IST: Boundary! Sixth of the morning, comes off Marcus Harris' bat, leans on the delivery from Umesh Yadav and punches it through the covers to pick four runs.

06:00 IST: Hello and welcome to the live commentary from the second Test between India and Australia. 
The visitors will name a changed playing XI as they have been hit by a couple more injuries. India named their 13-man squad for this second Test, with Ravichandran Ashwin and Rohit Sharma ruled out due to injuries. Prithvi Shaw, on the other hand, is still ruled out, meaning India will retain their opening combination of KL Rahul and Murali Vijay. For the other two spots in the playing eleven, Hanuma Vihari, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav have been included in the 13-man squad.
It gives rise to different permutations and combinations, and Kohli does have a prior history of picking an all-pace attack earlier in 2018. At Johannesburg, on another raging green-top wicket, he picked a four-pacer attack with Hardik Pandya as the all-rounder. India had played an all-pace attack in Perth back in 2012, when MS Dhoni fielded Zaheer Khan, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma and R Vinay Kumar in Perth.
Even so, recent records need to be considered. In November, Western Australia hosted New South Wales for a Sheffield Shield game at this new ground as a dry-run for this maiden Test. Out of 40 wickets to fall in that four-day game, eight went to spinners with Nathan Lyon taking seven wickets for 120 runs in two innings and left-arm spinner Ashton Agar picking the one wicket for 69 runs in two innings.
Clearly, Lyon as the off-spinner was able to exploit the bounce on offer. If Ashwin had been available, Kohli perhaps would have still been tempted to play him. With Jadeja in the squad though, there is still a possibility to go in with a spinner albeit the temptation is greatly reduced. The Indian batting line-up should otherwise be unchanged.
